Poured washes stain the canvas in shapes that are both planned and organic—a quiet push and pull between planning and letting go. Some were painted after my daughter fell asleep. Others while she played nearby, or during a stretch of time that felt entirely mine.

What I remember isn’t always the big moment—it’s the light on the floor, the sound of her voice down the hall, the way color settled into shape with the sunlight.

Each piece is a record of what stayed with me. This is the part I remember.

Painting this year happens in between moments—quiet evenings after days full of you. Each piece comes together slowly, sometimes just a single shape before I return to it days later. The work reflects our days of walks, play, and stories before bed. Colorful palettes, panels, and shapes that hold this year in them.

‘Gathering’

‘Collected Days’

‘A collection of ordinary days’

These paintings captured when I became a mom—a period of big changes and love. They show everyday moments, like our morning walks and sunsets. You've helped me see new things about the world and myself. I wonder what parts of me you'll have, will you paint like me?
The series explores a study of color through two methods: using paneling and shapes that appear to float in space. Each painting captures moments of our time together, freezing moments in time as we both grow. I'm curious what you'll think of them when you're older.
